Elevation: 4,130 m  |  First ascent: June 3, 1950  |  Mountain range: Himalaya
Annapurna Circuit

Is easily accessible but you need to be careful about the avalanches between Himalayan Hotel and Machhapuchhre Base Camp. It is not a big deal if you inform yourself before setting off. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek can be done in all seasons nevertheless in winter the base camp closes checking the level of snow whereas in spring time the trek is complemented with the rhododendron forest in full bloom.

Annapurna is the tenth highest peak of the world. Trek in this region is most popular as the traveler meets many terraced rice paddies, lush rhododendron forests, and high altitude landscapes alongside. We begin from Pokhara and as we ascend terraced hillside we enjoy splendid Annapurna range with close view of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna II. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek then continues with the rewarding ascending and descending tour to Annapurna sanctuary. Annapurna Base Camp Trek is quite easy and you may even take your children together with you as you may not bother with the lodging (provided with hot water) and food ranging from Nepalese rice dahl to Italian Spaghetti and pizza.

Is one of the easiest trekking tours in the Himalayan Mountains

Annapurna is considered the most deadly mountain of the world.

✓   It is not only a trekking tour, but as well a cultural tour of Nepal.

We start Trekking from Chame this day,

The trail passes through a narrow wooded valley, crosses two suspension bridges. Overnight accommodation – in Upper Pisang (3250 m).

Day 4

The track to the village of Manang (3500 m.) Leads us to Manang – the unofficial capital of the entire region: close to the village there is an airport, in the village – the post of the Association of salvation in the Himalayas. Every day, about 15 hours, are held free lectures about the dangers of high-altitude trekking and mountain sickness. Overnight in a guest house.

Day 5

Day of acclimatization in Manang. It is best to make a relaxed stroll around the neighborhood – is a little bit to go beyond the village and everywhere views of snow-capped peaks (including eight thousand). Interesting place Bhoja gompa monasteries, located halfway between Bryag and the village of Manang. Overnight in a guest house in Manang.

Day 6

Go to the Thorang Phedi (4420 m.), the village near the pass. The trail enters the zone of alpine meadows, sparse bushes and crosses the creek Dzharsang Cola on a wooden bridge at an altitude of 4300 m. Prepare for restless nights: may affect height, and about two o’clock „in the morning” many groups begin to prepare for the exit.

Day 7

The most difficult and important day. Early in the morning, immediately after the release of Thorang Phedi begins a steep climb. Until Thorang La pass (5416 m.) Can be reached in 4-6 hours. The trail is well broken in the case of illness or extreme fatigue in Thorang Phedi can hire horses. The pass is marked multicolored Buddhist prayer flags, Chortens and small pyramids of stones. Types of the Himalayas, with the opening of the pass and the trail can be called outstanding. Descend the steep – we lose about 1,600 meters altitude – and takes about 4 hours. Muktinath (3800 m), which is scheduled night – is a town of small hotels and mountain shelters. It is interesting to go to the famous temple of „burning water”, a place of pilgrimage for millions of Hindus and „sadhu” for thousands of years. In the evening you can celebrate a victory over the pass.

Day 8

The path leads down to the village Kagbeni (2810 m), famous for its magnificent monastery, a typical Tibetan architecture (tiny streets of this maze twisted among mud houses), numerous Chortens and mani walls. From Kagbeni starts a long track in a semi-independent, fully closed to foreigners until 1992. A few more hours of course – and we are in Jomsom, this oasis of civilization. In addition to shops, military camps and the airport there is even the point of sending e-mail. Farewell night in West Nepal – fairy edge of the huge snow-capped peaks and amazing people. Parting with a guide and Sherpas. Overnight in a guest house.
